On Friday, May 4, 2018, the Osceola County School District held an Osceola Scholars Event to honor seniors across the county who have been accepted to a Top 100 College or University or are graduating with their AA degree. It was held at the Embassy Suites By Hilton in Kissimmee, in a grand room with a stage set up. Along a hallway outside the room, multiple dessert-filled tables were lined up for the reception beforehand while people socialized. At least two dozen OCSA Seniors attended, but some were unable due to the ‘Macbeth’ show also taking place that night.

Out of the 46 seniors across the county who are graduating with their AA degree, OCSA accounted for almost half of them. As they were called up to the stage, they received a graduation stole with the Valencia insignia as well as a college booklet. Then, the seniors who have been accepted to a Top 100 College or University were called up to receive a black and gold cord for graduation. Both gifts will be worn by the seniors as they walk across the stage at graduation on May 23 to signify their academic accomplishments. Incredible job, OCSA seniors!
