Pete Davidson and Ariana Grande Call off their Engagement

According to TMZ, Ariana Grande and Pete Davidson have reportedly broken off their engagement. TMZ reported that sources close to the former couple said they split this weekend, with “both parties acknowledging that it simply was not the right time for their relationship to take off.”

The couple began dating in May, before quickly becoming engaged the following month. They got matching tattoos and bought a tiny pig over the course of their five-month relationship.

The split came right after Grande’s former boyfriend Mac Miller died from an apparent overdose on September 7th. After her emotional exhaustion from the loss, she decided that she needed to take some time off.

Grande has decided to shy away from the public eye and the singer has also decided not to attend the Emmy Awards. “Given the events of the past couple of years, Ariana is going to take some much needed time to heal and mend,” Grande’s representatives told People. “She will be staying close to home and using this period to spend time with her loved ones and work on new music without a deadline. She thanks her fans for their understanding.”

There has been no evidence of a change in relationship status since no photos have been taking down yet on any of Grande’s social media accounts but Davidson’s Instagram was deleted on Monday morning.
