Disaster has struck in the beautiful state of California. The once beautiful state has been set ablaze by multiple brush fires raging all across the state. The fires have devastated major parts of the state. Strong winds have added to the reason why the fires have spread so rapidly.
As of November 16, 2018 there have been more than 230,000 acres burned in the last week. Thirty officials have battled over 500 blazes that have forced more than 300,000 people out of their homes. Over 7,000 buildings have been destroyed by the monstrous flames that have engulfed the state. Car parts like lights, tires, and rims have been melted by the heat of the flames. Celebrities like Miley Cyrus, Neil Young, and Gerard Butler lost their homes as a result of the fires. The death toll has risen to 63 since the start of the fires and over 631 people have been placed on the missing persons list. Dogs have also been used in an attempt to find any missing people.
There are three major fires that have been affecting the state. The Camp Fire has burned over 117,000 acres and is 30% contained. This fire has destroyed the town of Paradise in the fire. The Woosley fire has destroyed over 435 structures and has 57,000 structures have been threatened. Two people have been killed in Malibu due to the fire setting over 90,000 acres ablaze. The Hill fire has burned over 4,500 acres in Aventura County and it is 85% contained.
These fires have only been growing. The forecast of strong winds, rain, and low humidity makes it 10 times harder for firefighters to put out the blaze. Officials warn that it may be hard to find housing after these fires due to the fact that they are destroying land so quickly. To make matters worse, there is a possibility that there is a nano virus going around in shelters that can cause nausea, diarrhea, and vomiting.
