A Special Surprise in the Gaming Tournament

A Special Surprise in the Gaming Tournament

Camilo Zeballos, Reporter

Friday March 1st was OCSA’s fourth annual Smash Bro’s gaming tournament. This yearwas very similar to last year and we saw,  though  OCSA had a special surprise for all of the participants in the tournament that made it one of the most successful and eventful tournaments in our history.

Towards the end of the tournament professional Smash Bro’s Melee player Juan (HungryBox) DeBiedma showed up to greet the players and play a couple rounds of the game with them. Nolan, the runner up in the competition, was the first to go up against him playing Pichu vs. Hbox’s Jigglypuff. Hbox had a pretty clean win except for a one stock loss Nolan was able to get off of him. The rest of the games that Hbox played were also clean wins.

Many of the participants in the tournament left happy, with signatures and an experience they wouldn’t forget in a life time. They had an amazing time and many are excited to see what will come next year.
