Neil deGrasse Tyson says there is a refrigerator-sized asteroid (Asteroid 2018VP1) heading for Earth on November 2nd.

While this is certainly news, there is no cause to be concerned about as the likelihood of impact currently stands at .042%,, with even slimmer odds of it causing any severe damage according to deGrasse Tyson  who stated, “It may buzz-cut Earth….

On the contrary, NASA has dismissed this claim of a pre-election day asteroid hit and believes the space rock will be, “…slated to pass by Earth, and possibly nick our atmosphere.” So it looks as if there is no concern for a Deep-Impact movie scenario and no 2020 end of the world. As Mr. deGrasse said, “It’s not big enough to cause harm, so if the world ends in 2020, it won’t be the fault of the universe.”
