Trevor Davis, wide receiver for the Green Bay Packers, was arrested Sunday after jokingly addressing a question about his luggage. Davis was at the check-in counter for Hawaiian Airlines when a flight attendant asked him standard security questions. After being asked if he had any knives or explosives, he turned to his traveling companion and asked if she “remembered to pack the explosives?” according to BBC. Upon hearing this, the flight attendant contacted LAX police, who then arrested Davis and charged him with criminal intent. Davis was released on $15,000 bail and is expected to report to a court hearing on May 3.

In a statement made by the Packers, “The Packers are aware of the matter involving Travis Davis. We are in the process of gathering more information and will refrain from making any further comment as it is an ongoing legal matter.” No more information was given.
