James Comey, former FBI director, has released his book, A Higher Loyalty.  Upon the book’s release, Comey seized the opportunity to voice his concerns with the political climate. Specifically, in an interview with ABC’s George Stephanopoulos on April 15, Comey shared some ill-bred comments about President Trump, who fired him abruptly after opening an investigation regarding possible Russian collusion.

Since his termination, Comey has repeatedly called Trump “morally unfit for president.” The release of his book has sparked outrage from Trump’s administration who believes that the book is a claim for fame. Trump tweeted “His ‘memos’ are self-serving and FAKE!” Donald Trump has also stated that Comey has committed “many crimes.”

The ex-FBI director has responded by saying his book was only meant to do be useful to the American public, but many have questioned his intentions after he announced a press tour. Within the book, Comey mocked the president’s physical appearance, writing “His face appeared slightly orange with bright white half-moons under his eyes, where I assumed he placed small training googles… As he extended his hand, I made a mental note to check its size. It was smaller than mine…” Many public officials believe that the cross fire between President Trump and Comey could affect Robert Muller’s collusion investigation.
