Reporter Receives Death Threats After Questioning White House Press

Hector Torres, Reporter

April Ryan, a political analyst, journalist, and white house correspondent, has received death threats after asking press secretary Sarah Sanders if Donald Trump has considered resigning from his presidency. Sanders replied with “no” stating that the question was “absolutely ridiculous.” Ryan’s employer, the American Urban Radio Network, has also received such threats and have been in constant communication with the FBI regarding the ongoing matter.

“I’m angry about it, but it’s not going to deter me from doing my job. I’m angry about the fact that people are ginning people up to come after me for that. I’m viewing the attacks as partisan. But that question had nothing to do with politics. And my source was a republican source that’s close to the administration.”

According to Ryan, other journalists are also under constant attack for their “unbiased truth of the matter.” It isn’t the first time that Ryan and Sanders have had their conflicts. In November of 2017, Ryan asked Sanders if she actually baked the Thanksgiving pie on her Twitter claiming that it appeared photoshopped. Sanders responded by offering to bake a pie for Ryan who then rebutted, “remember you guys don’t like the press.”

Though faced with bitter opposition, Ryan is certain she won’t let threats nor politics dissuade her from finding the truth.
