Vocal Department Performs Spectacular Spring Concert

Hector Torres, Reporter

Last Tuesday, the Vocal department, under the instruction of Mr. Carswell and Mrs. Testa, held their longest concert featuring nearly all choirs, with the exception of both Men’s and Show Choir.

Both middle and high school students sang songs from all over the world.  The Chamber Choir, in particular, sang songs in Chinese, French, and Spanish.

In addition to the variety in language, the choirs also utilized additional instruments to enhance their melodies. Women’s choir, for instance, used water filled wine glasses to fabricate a mellifluous resonance. The show concluded with two pieces the choir earned superiors.

Now that the concert has ended, the vocal department returns to their normal practice routines, preparing for MPA this upcoming Monday.
