A decade after the beloved Harry Potter Film adaptations ended, HBO Max has taken it upon themselves to host the long-awaited Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts. But, as Potterheads watched the special, they noticed two huge mistakes.

Around the beginning of the Harry Potter special, the producers had decided to showcase childhood photos of the different cast members. But instead of displaying a photo of the young Watson, they had showed a photo of Emma Roberts, who was sitting at a diner table with Minnie Mouse ears.

After fans pointed out the huge mistake, producers made a light hearted response to E! magazine, “Well spotted Harry Potter fans! You brought an editing mistake of a mislabeled photograph to our attention,” further adding that they have replaced the mistaken photo.

The second mistake wasn’t pointed out by fans, but rather by Oliver Phelps, the actor of George, one of the two Weasley twins. The special had mistakenly labelled him and his twin brother, James Phelps, who played the second Weasley twin Fred, in each other’s roles.

Oliver Phelps joked about the incident on Instagram, “I guess after all those pranks over the years somebody decided to get their revenge.” His co-star, Tom Felton, who had taken up the role of Draco Malfoy, wrote a silly reply to Phelps post regarding the incident, “It was my doing.” Adding a snake and Lion emoji after, in reference to the never-ending rivalry between the Slytherin and Gryffindor houses.

As of now, all mistakes have been fixed and can no longer be seen in the special.
