Calling all 2000s fans! The When We Were Young festival, an event taking place at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds on the 22nd of October, will be headlining favorites such as My Chemical Romance, Avril Lavigne, and Paramore.

The festival will take place from 11 a.m to 11 p.m, with presale for tickets beginning on Friday, January 21st. To access the tickets, you need to go to the When We Were Young website and sign up for their mailing list. For standard tickets, the prices begin at $224.99 and VIP tickets, included with a hotel room, will cost $499.99.

Proper safety precautions are a large priority of the festival, with a list of guidelines under their information section. According to the website, “The safety of fans, artists, and staff are thoroughly planned for among event organizers and in coordination with local authorities.” Proof of a negative COVID-19 test or a full COVID-19 vaccination may be necessary to enter the festival. When said measures are confirmed, the When We Were Young festival pledges to quickly communicate any changes on the event/venue website and social media channels.

Other festivals of the same nature, such as Warped Tour, are already being compared in both quality, and prices. Warped Tour is a traveling rock tour that traveled around the United States annually each summer since 1995. It also happened to be the largest traveling music festival in the United States. Warped Tour came to an end last year, mostly because of fan elitism and the loss of a community that caused the festival to reach its breaking point.

The When We Were Young Festival is rumored to be even bigger than Warped Tour, so fans of the tour certainly have a new event to be enthusiastic about, especially with the nostalgia-packed lineup.
