Last Saturday afternoon, May 5, a dog killed a baby in a Los Angeles home.

The incident occurred in the Sherman Oaks neighborhood, police reported. The little girl was taken to the hospital but did not survive. There were three canines in the home.

Veterinary experts took the three dogs out of the house because they didn’t know which one was responsible for the assault.

LAPD Captain Lillian Carranza sent a Twitter message saying that mayoral psychologists “will accompany the family at this difficult time.”
