Hold On To Your Guac! A Recall on Tortilla Chips

On May 2, the U.S. Food & Drug Administration released a voluntary recall on Golden Flake, Good Health, Utz and Weis brand tortilla chip products. According to the company, the chips may contain milk not listed in the ingredients. People who have an allergy or severe sensitivity to milk run the risk of serious or life-threatening allergic reaction if they consume these products. Although no illnesses have been reported, the FDA recommends that consumers who have bought the affected bags either return them to the store for a full refund or throw them away. The recall affects products sold in retail outlets in 31 states including Florida, Arkansas, Arizona, Connecticut, Illinois, Indiana, Louisiana, Massachusetts, Maryland, Maine, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, Mississippi, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont and West Virginia.
