Senior Visual Artists are spending large amounts of time preparing for 5:30pm on the third of February, which is the date set for the Senior Art Show. This event puts a spotlight on the seniors and allows them a grand feature to exhibit a compilation of their best work.

Taking place in the main hallway, the show is $5 admission on MySchoolBucks to witness a final bow from the class of 2023 Visual Artists. There was not a specific concept for the artists to stick to, being allowed absolute creative freedom for this culmination of all they have learned throughout their education in art. After the creation of their pieces, they decided Infinity is the perfect theme for the show to represent a never-ending passion to love and learn about art.

Jonathan Trombetta expresses that the show is “like reconnecting with everyone in our class and how we’ve grown since we first met each other.” Of the other artists, “I definitely think there’s a lot of us who are nervous, but I think as a whole we’re pretty excited because the art show means we’re getting closer to moving on to bigger things.”

This monumental event will be one of the last times, if not the last time, their art is showcased at OCSA. “As a whole, our class has decided that our show and our senior piece is going to be about imagination and how we’ve grown, and more of a surreal world that we live in.”
