February is approaching, which means Valentine’s Day is just around the corner.  To celebrate romantic and platonic love, the Junior and Senior class presents the “Pink and White Formal,” a Valentine’s Day themed dance. The formal will take place on February 3rd, from 7pm to 10pm, and it will take place in the Expo Hall. Tickets will start selling on January 23 on my schoolbucks for $11.50, but tickets are also expected to be sold outside the event, but it is advised that you buy your tickets before the event.

Compared to others past events, the dance will have a strict dress code as they are asking for people to dress formal rather than wear casual clothes. Jeans, T-shirts, shorts, leggings, crop tops, sneakers, and hats will not be allowed to be worn for the dance. Clothes you would wear for Homecoming, or any other formal dance would be acceptable for this event. You must also wear formal clothes in pink and or white, to match the theme of valentines.

Mrs. Laurie Smith, one of the teachers in charge of organizing the dance, went on stage and clarified the details of the formal at the end of recital. She briefly explained how everyone is allowed to go from any grade, but students aren’t allowed to bring students outside of OCSA. The money earned from this event will be used to fund the Senior and Junior Prom in April.

Mark the day of February 3rd and be sure to come to the dance to celebrate the beloved day of love and friendship and to support the Senior and Junior class!
