Latinos in Action celebrates Spring with their floral dress down event!

Ashley M. Baez, Reporter

Latinos in Action is hosting a floral dress down event to welcome in the season of spring! For 2 dollars at the door, you are able to wear non-uniform clothes to school, within dress code and event guidelines. You are able to wear floral patterns, pastel colors, gardening wear, and even bright accessories.

Leadership skills development, (also known as, Latinos in Action) is a program/course that develops and helps leadership skills in the Latino community through activities they do as a group. They learn about college, opportunities, finances, and a bunch more! Ms. Lizette Marrero is the teacher that is teaching the program this year.

“We are celebrating that spring is here. And with the beginning of spring, that means its almost the end of the school year; so, it’s a really tough week with all the exams are going on. So, we want to start this last quarter in a very positive and colorful vibe. We are also, at the same time, collecting money for the class [Latinos in Action], which is required to do several field trips,” Ms. Marrero shared in our interview on Wednesday.

Celebrate Spring with Latinos in Action, either by wearing pastel florals and bright accessories or welcoming the season with open arms!
