Stefan Karl Stefansson, also known as villain Robbie Rotten on Nick Jr. T.V show ‘LazyTown’, passed away August 21st, after a two-year battle with an aggressive form of bile duct cancer. Stefansson was diagnosed with cancer in 2016, just two years after the hit children’s show ended in 2014, but announced earlier this year that the cancer had returned and was inoperable. Throughout the stages of his diagnosis and treatment, Stefansson posted frequently at times on his Instagram thanking his fans for their endless support in his journey. “It’s not until they tell you, you’re going to die soon that you realize how short life is,” he wrote on his now-deleted Twitter, according to CBS News, ” Time is the most valuable thing in life because it never comes back. And whether you spend it in the arms of a loved one or alone in a prison cell, life is what you make of it. Dream big.” The family has decided to honor Stefansson’s wishes for there not to be a funeral and to scatter his remaining ashes in a distant ocean in secret.
