OCSA is hosting its annual Holiday Extravaganza on December 8th. Students from every art major will be composing a show to present in the auditorium from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm. This year’s theme is “Home for the Holidays,” where a series of performances will display a unique interpretation of the theme. The performance is inclusive to all holidays including Christmas, Kwanza, Hanukkah, and more.
The tickets will be $10 and may be bought at the door or in My School Bucks. Children 5 and under will obtain a free admission. Doors will open at 5:30 pm for audience members to settle down in the auditorium as they wait for the show to begin. The show will be around 1 hour and a half long, with no intermissions.
“Performing in the show has become one of my holiday traditions, I am honored to share my music with the audience as I do every year!” Isabella Barry, junior band major states. She has participated in the Holiday Extravaganza annually since her 6th-grade year and is very excited to see what other majors have in store as well.
OCSA’s art director, Mrs. Katherine Reeves, is in charge of bringing the grand show to life. Preparations begun as early as September. As the students excitedly continue to prepare for the show, the audience will be introduced to something new, described as a “major surprise” at the end of the show. “We welcome everybody to come to experience this OCSA tradition, plus we have a big surprise that you just can’t miss!” Mrs. Reeves stated in an interview.
Come enjoy the Holiday Extravaganza Show: Home for the Holidays, along with OCSA. We hope to see you there!
