Starting February 1-4, 2024, Orlando locals and tourists alike will be able to immerse themselves into Orlando’s annual Mega Convention, also known as MegaCon. Guests will be able to partake in celebrity interactions, photo-ops, sketch duals, and more while stepping into their own sci-fi heaven. MegaCon has exhibits for everyone, ranging from brands like DC Comics and Marvel to different horror and anime arenas. Throughout the convention, people will be able to visit panels, demos and workshops of their favorite brands and genres. Guests also are free to dress up or “cosplay” as their favorite characters. Natalie Ramirez, a junior Creative Writer and past MegaCon attendee, states that this is one of her favorite things about MegaCon. “One of my favorite things about MegaCon are seeing all the cosplay costumes. They are very elaborate and have a lot of detail.” Attenders to the event also anticipate various celebrity appearances including actors like Tom Hiddleston, Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen. There will also be voice actors, gaming stars, comic creators, and tattoo artists.
Tickets start at $30 for a single-day pass, which includes a full day admission to the convention, show floor access, panel room/theater access, and a souvenir badge. A 4-day pass is $139, which gives all the benefits included in the single day pass for four days and includes a special preview pass on Thursday, February 1, 2024, at 2 PM. The ultimate fan package, which is available for $179 each. This package would include all benefits given through the four-day pass, with an addition of a limited edition MegaCon badge, an exclusive ticket picks up counter, celebrity photo-op 24-hour purchase guarantee, limited edition souvenirs, exclusive lounge access, a 10% off coupon in the MegaCon store, and a free single day admission to all MegaCon events until (but not including) MegaCon 2025. The most expensive package available to purchase is the VIP package, which costs $549 and includes all benefits available in the ultimate fan package, with an addition of a VIP concierge and a 20% discount in the MegaCon store instead of a 10%.
