The play follows the story of Detective Sherlock Holmes and Dr. John Watson when they are visited by a young woman, Enid Stonor. Enid comes to Holmes and Watson in need, as she is suspicious of the circumstances in which her sister (Violet) died, and she believes she might also be in danger. Exploring the themes of good vs. evil, greed, and freedom; The Speckled Band is sure to keep you on your toes.
Cassie Glow and Mimi Zeigler, the director and assistant director of The Speckled Band, hosted auditions for the show in late November. From those auditions rose the cast of this Sherlock Holmes mystery. Mycheal McGinley, our Sherlock Holmes, described the rehearsal process as “really fun…the whole cast is just all about having fun and telling the story. It’s just such an awesome show to be a part of, I love it so much.” McGinley also mentioned that they are most excited for the audience to see all of Sherlock’s disguises, so keep a look-out for that.
Cassie Glow is also ecstatic as she explores and grows through this new creative experience. Expressing her joys to be working with an amazing group of cast and crew, Cassie claims The Speckled Band is going to be her “greatest masterpiece.”
