The Grammys is an award ceremony dedicated to music achievements over the years by the Recording Academy. The ceremony first started on May 4th, 1959, and it has occurred yearly since then. This year, on February 5th marked the 66th annual awards of the 2024 Grammys.
The 2024 Grammys consisted of 98 categories. Following Pop, Rock, Metal, Country, Latin, R&B, Jazz, Gospel, Classical, and many more. These are a few of the nominees, winners, performances and albums of the year:

- Celine Dion made a rare appearance at the Grammys announcing Taylor Swift’s award.
- Along with Taylor winning Album of the Year, Taylor also announced a new album called “The Tortured Poets Department,” coming out on April 19th, 2024.
- This year marked Taylor winning her 4th grammy in a row, surpassing Frank Sinatra, who had 3 Album of the Year awards.

- Some other interesting things that happened at the Grammys include:
-Jay Z going up on stage along with his daughter Blue Ivy to accept the award for the Dr. Dre Global Impact. “Thank you to the Black music collective for all the work you guys do,” Jay Z applauded.
-Billie Joel preformed his first written song, “Turn The Lights Back On”
-Joni Mitchel performed at the Grammy’s for the first time this year.
There were surprises, and meaningful moments that left the crowd in tears, resulting in a successful ceremony.
