Arts Week is here! As a tradition for OCSA students, Arts Week provides a new way to incorporate art within our daily lives. It helps bring us together for our love of all that is creative and beautiful. Art can bring great meaning to life, and being able to share that with people during Arts Week allows us to enjoy the different activities while also providing for our Visual Arts department. In other words, it gives every student at OCSA an opportunity to experience and appreciate our school’s amazing Visuals Artist Department.
Arts Week has been held every year and is sponsored by our school’s National Art Honor Society (NAHS) along with Visual Arts director, Ms. Calderon. Arts Week also hopes to honor the Underclassman show, which includes the works and pieces from Visual Arts students in grades 9-11, taking place on Wednesday, March 27th, from 5:30-6:30 PM for the cost of 5 dollars.
During March 25-27th, Arts Week will take place for both halves of lunch. There will be a variety of artistic activities for students to enjoy, all designed by the Visual Arts department and NAHS. These activities include making DIY sea creatures, getting drawing lessons by Visual Artists, Sidewalk Chalk Art, Tree Tag (decorating a tree on campus), and Pin Making for 2 dollars. Henna will also be available starting at five dollars (permission slip form Ms. Calderon required.)
Be sure to come out and support our Visual Artists during Arts Week!
