OCSA and Celebration High School were the “Host Schools” of this year’s competition. Patricia I. Armas Vargas, an 11th grade Orchestra major, the Captain of the OCSA staff members for the FSSC, explained that her favorite category was “… traditional attire because I was able to see so many Spanish-speaking countries that demonstrate their culture that I’m not necessarily educated or haven’t immersed in… You can see the admiration they have from it. I also enjoy the presentations…You can see how many of the delegates and the competitors care for the event and are passionate about sharing their cultural and embracing what we are as Hispanics.”
Ms. Marrero expressed her joys from her student’s hard work. “I can’t be more proud…they are top-notch.” Congratulations to the winners of the FSSC! You all deserved it.
