Although it has been postponed, One Blood will be arriving to OCSA to host a school-wide blood drive. Due to an unknown cause, the blood drive that was originally set for March 27, 2024, will be postponed to a later date. Located in a One Blood bus in the bus loop, students can donate blood throughout the school day! With every pint of blood donated, One Blood will donate $10 to the school to support our artistic efforts.
All students 16 and up are allowed to donate. In order to participate, students under 17 must have parental permission through signed paperwork. On Friday, March 21, 2024, a One Blood table was set during lunch for students to sign up and pick up paperwork. All participants must sign up, regardless of age. If you are unable to retrieve a form during lunch, forms will be available in the front office. In the sign up, students will be able to pick a time slot between 9 A.M. to 2 P.M.. Students will be called throughout the day upon their scheduled time to donate blood. Participants will get passes, considering that the process could take up to 45 minutes. Students that participate will receive breakfast, snacks, and a One Blood tote bag as well! Anyone under the age of 16 is not allowed to participate. Students 17 and older must have a photo ID with them while donating their blood.
As you stroll about your day, please consider donating blood for the good of art and humanity.
