The Atlantis Ablaze Literary Magazine is back with its 18th issue, “Unsent Words!” This prompt is all about confessions, secrets, and regrets- the things left unsaid and the things you wish you would’ve said. Use creative expression to explore your experience through your work!
Atlantis Ablaze is looking for original art pieces, six-word short stories, poetry, prose, flash fiction (of 250 words or less), short stories (suggested 500+ words), and last but not least, creative nonfiction. For writing and artwork pieces, you must submit your work in a Word document. Submissions are open until April 8th at 11:59 PM EST, so be sure to send in your work before the deadline.
More information about the prompt can be found on the submission form, which is on the @ocsaatlantisablaze bio! Link is also provided here: Atlantis Ablaze Unsent Words Issue #18 (office.com). For further inquiries, feel free to reach out to Amy Calvo through her Instagram handle @amynicolecalvo, and Dina Santiago by email at [email protected]. Previous released issues are free to view on the “LITERARY MAGAZINE” section of The OCSA Ledger.
Amy Calvo, senior Lit Mag editor-in-chief and creative writer, said, “So what led us to choose this prompt [was] the staff consists of a bunch of hopeless romantics (myself included) and poets who loved the idea of our last ‘23-‘24 issue revolving around love, and since spring time is right around the corner, it’s the perfect time for people to clean out their notes app and submit poems/letters/artwork ‘they never sent’.”
In the spirit of spring cleaning, it’s time to dig through all your works that never saw the light of day and clean some skeletons (hopefully metaphorical) out of your closet. Atlantis Ablaze looks forwards to your submissions!
