You may have heard, or most likely seen the mountains of chocolate boxes roaming around the OCSA campus with the words: World’s Finest Chocolate! Well, your eyes haven’t fooled you! This year, OCSA has made it a mission to fundraise for our very own art departments! Boxes are available for any OCSA student to pick up from the front desk or Mrs. Reeves in order to collect money for department fees, or for your department in general.
To sign up for a box, you must sign your name, date, and art department teacher on a sheet of paper as a way to ensure you’re certain you’re up for the task. After you receive your box from someone at the front desk or Mrs. Reeves, you will then be instructed to write your name on the box itself. This is considered a seal because you are obligated to sell the entire box. In total there are 60 chocolates, each worth a single dollar, and you can sell them around school, your neighborhood, the park, and much more!
Not only are we getting ahold of money for our school, but we’re also getting to know our communities and the people around us. Fundraising gives us the opportunity to talk to others and socialize more with each other. Darya Grey, junior Creative Writer says, “Selling these chocolates has given me the chance to meet many students and support my major.” So, pick a box up now and help aid our departments in our school-wide fundraising!
