The Osceola ACE (Arts for a Complete Education) Coalition is a volunteer group that supports the arts in Osceola County. With different teachers, students, and schools around the county, the ACE group holds an annual event called Arts Alive, which serves as an opportunity to win an arts scholarship. Students can audition with a range different media, such as dance, visual arts, music, and writing. First place winners received $2500 dollars for each category, and the best of show winner won $3000. Six out of nine of the final winners this year are representing OCSA! “It just felt really nice to be a part of the community outside of my art school,” said senior Creative Writer Amy Calvo. Amy performed her poem “The Beauty I Carved” and received high praise from fellow artists. Make sure to congratulate these students if you see them!
