Today, April 26th, OCSA will be hosting their very first “Soak A Senior Day” during both halves of lunch in the courtyard. Senior Soak is an event where classmates will be paying to soak seniors who signed up for this event. The prices are as follows: $1 for a small pail, $3 for a small bucket of water, $5 for a medium bucket, $7 for a large bucket, and $10 for a hose. Seniors will be swapping each half, giving them all a chance to get soaked. The seniors that are not getting soaked will be filling up buckets as they wait for their turn. The senior class council came together to plan this fun event. On March 23rd, seniors met with their class president, Elizabeth Davidoff, and senior vice president, Valerie Santana, to sign up to participate.
Senior class president, Elizabeth Davidoff, is excited to help host this fundraising event. The funds collected will be utilized towards any additional costs that seniors may have, since graduation is quickly approaching. After an incredible year, seniors are now preparing to end it. “This year quite literally feels bittersweet. Each quarter felt like it was moving quicker and quicker and it’s important to look around sometimes and just live in the moment,” said Davidoff in an interview. The senior council and their teacher sponsor, Mrs. Smith, have worked hard all year to bring exciting events just as this one to their seniors. They have continuously worked hard together, “It comes with great honor to have been president for the class of 2024 and I couldn’t have done it without an incredible sponsor like Mrs. Smith,” Davidoff exclaimed.
Come and enjoy the first OCSA Soak A Senior! Underclassmen are encouraged to soak their favorite senior as a farewell into graduation!
