On September 28th, OCSA is hosting their annual homecoming dance. The dance will take place in the Expo Hall from 7pm-10pm; open for all high school students to attend. Middle school students are not allowed to attend but are welcome to participate in spirit week. Tickets are $20 each, available now on MySchoolBucks.
This year’s theme is Hollywood, so roll out the red carpet and prepare to pose! Students are encouraged to wear their nicest attire to attend the dance. Student government association (SGA) president, Trenton Danker, expressed his intention with the theme. “We wanted a nice theme that allows students to dress to impress and feel like the stars they are. This theme has also given us the opportunity to plan a fun dress down week, with themes announced soon!” he said in an interview.
Each student is allowed to bring one guest that doesn’t attend the school. The student will need to buy an extra ticket and submit a guest form. The guest must bring a form of identification, whether it’s a school ID or a government issued ID. Please visit the front office to pick up the forms. Additionally, homecoming royalty will be decided through a raffle. Any student can get a chance to win by just inserting their name into their grade level’s bag. Each participating student must have a current OCSA student ID to enter.
Dancing can get exhausting. But not to worry, concessions will be provided. One snack and drink is automatically given to each student. Students will be able to pick what concession they desire as long as they have their ticket in hand. “Your OCSA SGA is working hard to make HOCO fun for all!” Danker exclaims. Come prepared to walk the carpet and strike a pose!
