Get excited because Halloween is right around the corner, and on a Thursday, giving you the perfect opportunity to make your Halloween Weekend, or Halloweekend perfect. Where do you start? What do you do? Where do you go? Let me help you out.
One of the most obvious ways to spend your Halloweekend is of course, HHN. Halloween Horror Nights; or HHN: probably one of the most common Halloweekend activities ever. This enticing event occurs at Universal Studios on select nights from August 30th through November 3rd. There are 10 haunted houses each year guests can visit while characters scare people walking through the park as well. Tickets vary in price depending on how many times you want to go, whether you’re going at night or during the day, and if you want a more exclusive experience; single-night tickets begin at $83 per person. Sadly though, costumes are not allowed at HHN.
If you were looking for a costume-allowing Halloween activity, as most are, there are quite a few trick or treating options at hand. There is the traditional door-to-door neighborhood trick or treating which is always a classic. If you feel you’ve outgrown that, some locations such as Old Town or even some Churches offer trick-or-treating activities. If you’re looking for a chill, candy filled night, where you can wear your costume, be sure to check out for any local churches, festivals, shopping centers, or trunk-or-treating events!
Last but not least, one of (in my opinion) the best option is to find a party! And if you can’t find one, create one! Pull your friends or family together, get some food, some candy, music, your spooky attitude, and go throw a Halloweekend party. There are countless ways you could go about this, some of which include, making it a costume party, a ‘bring a platter” party (each guest brings a platter of arranged food based on a theme), or putting together a sleepover party.
Whatever you decide to do this hallowing Halloweekend, be safe, be scared, and have fun. Start planning…now!
