Troupe 6640 is our thespian group that represents our school. This is organized by Mrs. Reeves, our school’s art director. Thespians is available to all majors, but typically, drama majors and dance majors tend to join instead of the other majors. “Anybody that’s apart of troupe 6640, so from the juniors all the way through 6-10,” Mrs. Reeves said.
Being a thespian means that you are taking the title of an actor, specifically from your school. It’s typically an honors society for high school students, but at OCSA, it is also available to middle school as a sub program. They preform shows and plays for different events, “We will do performances when everybody asks us to, we’ve done multiple little things,” Mrs. Reeves explained. At least once every year, our troupe performs in front of a panel of judges to better themselves in their acting. Our troupe also participates in events like Arts Astound, Night of One Acts, and many more.
