MegaCon, the annual four-day convention in Orlando hosted by FAN EXPO HQ is back this week February 6-9 in the Orange County Convention Center!
MegaCon is a place for enthusiasts to celebrate a wide range of pop culture including comics, sci-fi, horror, anime, and games. Attractions at the event include celebrity Q&As, photo opportunities, autographs, cosplay competitions, gaming, panels, demonstrations, workshops, community groups and an interactive kids’ zone. Guests have the opportunity to learn behind the scenes information about their favorite show or movie, hit the cosplay runway for a chance to win the grand prize, and even receive an autograph and picture from their favorite celebrity guest.
New this year is Anime After Dark where attendees can meet voice actors exclusive to this attraction, show off their karaoke skills, dance, and more. This attraction is only available on Friday and Saturday of MegaCon. Other new attractions are a Friendiverse Lounge to connect with others, a Book Nook for reading and discussing stories, and a Zen Den to relax and escape the chaotic convention environment.
FAN EXPO HQ encourages guests to eagerly anticipate the event, encouraging attendees to “prepare for an action-packed schedule of family-friendly attractions, unforgettable events, and a lineup of world-renowned celebrities.”
The full guest list is on the event’s website. Celebrities include Millie Bobby Brown (Stranger Things), Mel Gibson (Braveheart and Mad Max), and Grant Gustin (The Flash). There will be voice actors from Hazbin Hotel, Justice League, Arcane, Avatar the Last Airbender and more. Anime creators include creators from My Hero Academia, One Piece, Dragon Ball, and Chainsaw Man.
Many ticket prices and packages are available, including single day, multi-day, family passes, youth single day, and child passes. MegaCon is also offering tickets to an event at Universal Orlando Resort, where attendees can enjoy Islands of Adventure and parts of Universal Studios Florida on Friday, February 7. See you there!
