Many of times although you want to eat healthier, it is difficult to find quick snacks you’ll enjoy. It’s much easier to pick up the bag of chips and go, here is how to avoid that:
Apple Donuts:
Ingredients: apple(s), meltable chocolate, sea salt/crushed nuts, a pan or plate lined with wax/parchment paper.
- Cut the apple into donut shaped slices.
- Melt your chocolate of choice, I recommend dark chocolate for a healthier alternative, but any other chocolate is just as perfect.
- Coat your apple slices in the chocolate and place them on a pan or plate lined with parchment/wax paper.
- Sprinkle sea salt, crushed nuts, or any topping your heart desires.
- Set in the fridge to harden for at least an hour, or until hardened.
Raspberry-Pomegranate Bars:
Ingredients: pomegranate, raspberries, chocolate, and a pan or plate lined with wax/parchment paper.
- Place your raspberries and pomegranate on the parchment paper close together.
- Melt your chocolate.
- Pour the chocolate over the fruit and set it in the fridge to harden.
- Once chocolate is set, cut it into bars.
You can make this with any fruit really, but raspberries and pomegranate are superior overall.
Apples and Dip:
Ingredients: apple(s), Greek yogurt, peanut butter, and honey.
- In a bowl mix equal parts peanut butter and Greek yogurt.
- Add about a tablespoon of honey and mix it all together until fully combined.
- Cut your apples into slices and you have now made the most addicting snack.
Banana Ants on a Log:
Ingredients: Bananas, chocolate chips/strawberries, and peanut butter.
- Cut your banana vertically, like you were to make a banana sandwich.
- Spread peanut butter on each banana slice.
- Sprinkle your ants (topping) of choice on your logs (bananas), Strawberries, chocolate chips, etc.
Frozen Grapes with a Twist:
Ingredients: green grapes, sugar, and lemon/lime juice.
- Wash and place your grapes in a bowl.
- Drown them in lemon/lime juice.
- Cover them in sugar.
- Put them in the freezer for about an hour or until frozen, then enjoy!
As long as you’re eating, you’re good, but keeping it healthy is important too!
