On Friday night at a New York Fashion Week Party, rappers Nicki Minaj and Cardi B got into a physical fight. The two rappers were attending the Harper’s Bazaar ICONS party at The Plaza Hotel when the fight broke out at near 11p.m., according to NYPD sources. Videos of the fight were captured by party-goers from multiple angles and posted on social media.

An anonymous witness told the Associated Press that Minaj was finishing up a conversation with someone when Cardi B “aggressively approached the table”, but security intervened. From there, words were exchanged and Cardi B was escorted out by security with minor injuries.

Cardi B addressed the situation on her Instagram late Friday night, without mentioning the name, stating that she’s  “let a lot of sh*t slide” and “when you mention my child, you choose to like comments about me as a mother, make comments about my abilities to take care of my daughter is when all bets are f***** off!” Cardi B gave birth to her first child in July. The two rappers have had a rivalry since Cardi B began achieving her success over the last year. Minaj has not yet commented on the incident.

Fans have been quick to take sides on social media. “Everybody quick to call Cardi B ghetto and ratchet saying she could never be classy like Nicki but she’s NEVER said she wanted to be,” one twitter user said. “She’s always preached never changing herself for ANYBODY. So either love her or hate her”

According to People magazine, no arrests were made but a New York City Police spokesperson said an investigation is ongoing.
