The creepy crawlies are back with Season 2 of Netflix’s “Wednesday!” Coming to the platform on August 6th, Part 1 consisting of 4 episodes. Following the release of part 2, an additional 4 episodes will be added about a month later on September 3rd.
Fans have been waiting for a good 2 years for an appearance from the spooky crew. In late 2022, the show gained major popularity among the public for Wednesday’s iconic dance moves, which combined with a sped-up version of Lady Gaga’s “Bloody Mary” to launch a viral sensation.
We last left off of on out group supposedly defeating two antagonists. Tyler (the Hyde), was responsible for some of the reoccurring deaths ordered by Laura Gates (disguised as Miss. Thornhill). Laura was behind the scheme of resurrecting Joseph Crackstone, to have all of the outcasts killed with the help of getting Tyler on her side. Collecting body parts and retrieving blood from an Addam, they reigned for a short time. And with Wednesday taking down Crackstone, the crew presumably put Laura Gates behind bars after the bee swarm. But was this the last we saw Gates and Crackstone… or so viewers thought.
Season 2 is said to have almost of a full return of the original cast, along with new members. The trailer, released on April 23rd, has shown to have Wednesday coming back to Nevermore for a second year. The trailer first begins as she unloads some heavy metal weapons at an airport, along with some tricky trinkets. For the entirety of the trailer, we are introduced with new slashes and seriousness in the lead of our main protagonist. Many cut-scenes are consisted of her handling many dolls, including one she gave to Enid as a gift at the beginning. Setting an unsettling mood for our audiences, “Every family has dark secrets”, according to Morticia Addams.
