Coming into the 2025-2026 school year, transportation has become a bigger concern, with a new parking lot added over the summer at OCSA. New students and families are moving in, and the Osceola County School District has begun to adjust with a new system.
Introducing “ReaXium”, the new district school bus tracking app.
This new app is ensuring safer transportation and reliable attendance for all SDOC students. It includes newly implemented precautions and measures. If you’re a bus rider you may have noticed that when you scan your ID on the scanner an automated voice now says “Welcome” or “Goodbye” before stating your first name. The scanner now displays all of your information to your bus driver, indicating that you have boarded or departed the bus.
One of the many new features ReaXium offers, is the ability for students’ parents to track their locations in real time. Students can also now be alerted when there’s a possible delay, or when any issues along their route occur. This will be displayed under the event log in the app, which students can download to their personal devices. There will be an AM and PM section featured with a map, which shows you the locations of pickup and drop-off.
If you are having issues with accessing ReaXium, there is an access code released from the school. Students should check their school emails for an invitation code, and if they’re unable to find this code they should contact the front office for assistance.
It’s important for students to keep up to date with their bus activity, even after school. While using the app, pay close attention to afternoon announcements and the board outside in the bus loop at school to stay informed with arrivals.
Some days might be a bumpy ride, but it doesn’t have to feel like a rollercoaster if you’re prepared.
