Every year OCSA hosts a club fair for the student body. This event allows all the club leaders to find dedicated and passionate people, like yourself, by sharing their club’s purpose and activities. Club fair is that initial spark that can light up your entire year with memories and excitement.
If you’re unsure how club fair works at OCSA, don’t worry, it’s pretty simple. On September 9th and 10th, in the courtyard, each club will host a booth for all of lunch. There, you’ll have the opportunity to speak to club leaders, ask questions, and sign up if you’re interested. Before signing up, make sure you understand the general expectations and their meeting times. Being in a club can broaden your impact as a student. Some clubs offer volunteer opportunities, field trips, and chords for graduation. Start conversations and let your curiosity soar as you meet all the artful and kind communities that OCSA has to offer.
It may feel overwhelming when the crowds get large, but do not get discouraged. Every club leader and member is prepared and excited to speak to students like you. Write notes, ask questions, and make connections! As Key Club President, Alejandro Robortella says, this event is about exploring “all the opportunities our school offers.” Speech and Debate president, Amy Flores, shares similar ideas. She encourages students not to miss this moment to “connect and collaborate on shared passions.”
Club Fair can set a positive precedent for the rest of the year. So, this Tuesday and Wednesday, do not miss the chance to meet the passionate clubs that await you.
