On October 16th, at 7PM, OCSA will be hosting their first orchestra concert at Gateway High School.
The orchestra majors have been putting in the extra effort to ensure that their upcoming concert is a memorable one. When asked about the rehearsal process, Maria Rodriguez, a 12th grade orchestra major, described as “…super rewarding, as it helps us as a class but most importantly as an orchestra.”
As a member of the chamber orchestra, Rodriguez teased us by describing her favorite piece that she will be performing at the concert. “Choreography [by Norman Dello Joio]…. it has a lot of emotions being shown through each movement. Going from a super fast and upbeat attitude to a dark and slow attitude.”
Admission is free, so be sure to go out and support our incredible orchestra department!
