The announcement of an “OCSA debit card” had many high school students, including myself, quite bewildered. Not much has been announced about the cards, their availability, or their purpose so the confusion is well-warranted.

The Central Florida Educators Federal Credit Union (CFEFC) has released a series of personalized debit cards for schools all across Osceola and Orange County. The cards give students a feeling of school pride everytime they swipe and give their schools and the districts as a whole a donation of $0.03 per purchase. Though it isn’t a schoolwide banking system like some thought, the OCSA debit card is a great way for high school students to showcase your school spirit every time you pull out your wallet.
