If you haven’t heard or seen the announcements I am not sure where you have been. The second black-box of the year, Eurydice, is premiering next-Wednesday October 17th, in the black-box theater. It will be running from the 17th to the 18th both nights at 6:30 pm. Admission is just $5 and everyone is invited to attend.

From director Molly Lavoie, Eurydice is a must-see regaling of the story from Greek mythology. It is, as described by Lavoie, “a contemporary twist on the classic myth of Orpheus told from the heroine’s perspective: Eurydice.” It is “uniquely poetic” and the writing for the show is almost unorthodox for a contemporary piece. It has both Greek elements and contemporary language and “it is definitely going to be a journey for the audience as it is simple yet so deep and complex.”

I hope to see you there on the 17th or the 18th for what should prove to be a very interesting and interactive experience.
