Lost and found is a musical written and directed by Janaiah Payoute, a senior drama major. The play is about a young girl that is sent to Lost and Found, an afterschool support group. At the support group, she meets a closeted male, a rape survivor, and a girl who is struggling to find her purpose in life. Through Lost and Found, the four kids learn how to cope with their different situations. The musical will be performed on the main stage on Wednesday, January 9th, at 6:30 pm.

Janaiah, who described Lost and Found as “A love letter to my generation”, is honored to have her play to be performed on the main stage.“I feel like I’ve been given the opportunity I’ve always wanted to really challenge myself as a director and do something epic with my senior year. And with this cast, who are so dedicated and hungry to learn and connect, I feel almost invincible.” Both she and the cast believe that the play tells a story that young people, especially students at OCSA, need to hear.

The cast will post special content on the play’s Instagram @lostandfoundplay and Twitter @lost_found_play, and is also an event on Facebook.
