13-year-old Hania Noleia Aguilar was kidnapped in front of her home Monday morning in Lumberton, North Carolina. She was about to turn on her aunt’s vehicle before school when she was suddenly grabbed by a man wearing all black with yellow fabric over his face and was forced into a green 2003 Ford Expedition. The suspect then drove away with Hania inside.

The stolen vehicle was located several miles away on Quincey Drive three days later, but Hania was nowhere to be found. There is no indication as to why Hania was targeted. Investigators are trying to track down the man who they have seen in surveillance footage walking in the neighborhood Monday morning, around the same time that Hania was abducted.

“It breaks my heart to stand here before you five days after Hania has been missing and kidnapped and not have her back yet,” Lumberton Police Chief Michael McNeill told reporters at a press conference Friday afternoon. Investigators have been going from door to door speaking to Hania’s neighbors, according to the Lumberton police chief. Hania’s family has been distraught over her disappearance but has faith that she will be found safe. “I just want my daughter back with me. I am here waiting for you, I love you, and I only care about you and I don’t have anything against whoever did this to you. I just want you back,” Hania’s mother, Elsa Hernandez, said in a statement.

Hania is described as a Hispanic female who is 5 feet tall, weighs 126 pounds, has black hair and brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a light blue shirt with flowers on it and blue jeans. If you have any information to help investigators find Hania, please call  (910) 272-5871. There is a $15,000 reward for anyone who has information about her disappearance.
