Pop singer, Katy Perry slammed President Donald Trump over his heartless tweet in response to the California Wildfire.

Wildfires are spreading rapidly through acres of land and have forced thousands of homeowners to evacuate, including several celebrities and killed many people. Early on Saturday, in a tweet, President Donald Trump blamed state authorities for “gross mismanagement of the forests” threatened to withhold federal payments over the state’s ‘poor’ forest management. He wrote: “There is no reason for these massive, deadly and costly forest fires in California except that forest management is so poor. Billions of dollars are given each year, with so many lives lost, all because of gross mismanagement of the forests. Remedy now, or no more Fed payments!”

On Friday evening, President Trump issued an emergency declaration to help thousands of firefighters who struggle to contain the flames that have already damaged homes and buildings by providing federal funds.

Katy Perry took to her own account to respond by calling Trump’s tweet “heartless”. She tweeted, “This is an absolutely heartless response. There aren’t even politics involved. Just good American families losing their homes as you tweet, evacuating into shelters”.

Katy Perry wasn’t the only celebrity to call out Trump on his reaction to the fire catastrophe. John Legend also tweeted about his thoughts writing, “Our National Embarrassment can’t bring himself to show some empathy to Californians dealing with a horrific disaster,”. To follow up the tweet, John Legend also thanked firefighters for their service.”I’m grateful for our brave firefighters doing dangerous work to save their neighbors,” he wrote.
