Holiday Market and Extravaganza Recap
December 18, 2018
This past Friday, December 14th, was OCSA’s Holiday Extravaganza: Home For The Holidays. OCSA’s alumni were invited back to the campus to perform in as well as watch the show, and those who couldn’t make it sent their best wishes to our school through a small video put together by our own tech majors.
Each performance by band, orchestra, jazz, vocal, and dance was expertly thought out and executed in Friday’s show. Family and friends of performers and students alike congregated inside and outside of the expo hall for food trucks, a live band, and Kris Kringle themed Holiday Shops. Some available activities and gifts to buy were pictures with Santa, card writing, hot cocoa, cookies and brownies, and candy canes.
Mr. Huntington created the idea of having Kris Kringle Holiday Shops in order to help the clubs at our school to have an opportunity to raise money, and for our school to strengthen relationships with business partners. This years Holiday Extravaganza was such a success many of the vendors are already planning ideas on how to do even better next year.
