A newborn baby girl was left alone in a park in Newham, East London on January 31st. The temperature that night was around 32 degrees, it is unknown how long the newborn was out in these conditions, but Metropolitan Police were called in to retrieve the baby around 10:15 p.m. that night. The Met-Office issued warnings of snow and ice the night the baby was found, worrying police even more.

Although the child is in stable condition, police are urging for the mother to come out of hiding, believing she may need medical attention. Inspector Shane Clarke of North East Command Unit pleaded, “We are growing increasingly concerned for your welfare and I urge you to make contact either with police, your local hospital or GP surgery.”

Police are hoping that anyone with any form of information on who the mother is, and where she may be will contact them so the mother and her child can be reunited.
