James and The Giant Peach is Coming

Osceola County School for the Arts will be presenting its second main stage of 2018-2019, James and the Giant Peach starting on Feb 7th. The show will be presented this Thursday and Friday at 6:30 and Saturday at 2 pm. James and the Giant Peach is a popular children’s novel written in 1961 by British author Roald Dahl. James and the Giant Peach is a fantastical tale of an orphan boy, his wild insect friends and their amazing adventure on a giant magical fruit. The primary theme of the show is the importance of overcoming fears. The amazing casts hope they can portray that message. Some of the main characters are:
James- Alesha Jeter
Old Green Grasshopper- Jessica Harrison
Miss Spider- Molly Lavoie
Centipede- Jeriel Robles
Ladybird- Amanda Traverso
Earthworm- Hali Agner
Alesha Jeter, a senior drama major who plays the character of James, says ” I believe the audience will enjoy it. It is a super lighthearted and a fun show all about teamwork and finding happiness”. Kayla Patterson, a junior drama major, plays the character of Aunt Spiker. She says, “The cast has worked really hard adjusting to our insane costumes. I know the show will not disappoint anyone” The cast members of the show have spent a long time rehearsing and they hope audience members will enjoy the show!
