More and More Democrats

As the 2020 election Primaries approach, more candidates of the Democrat party announce their bid, including the ones listed here. The constant stream of Democrats trying their hand at running the country seems to have no end, as more and more add their names to the ballot.

On February 1st, the former mayor of Newark and incumbent senator from New Jersey speaks of love, human connection and economic renewal on the trail when he launched his campaign via video sent out to his supporters, which quickly spread. The self-proclaimed “Spartacus” laid out his vision for a country that will “channel our common pain back into our common purpose.”

 

Amy Klobuchar

After winning reelection in 2018 by a margin of 24 percent, the senator from Minnesota says she believes that many in the Midwest were not heard in the 2016 election, and announced her run on February 10th. She stated she would reverse many of President Trump’s policies, including rejoining the Paris Climate Agreement.

Tulsi Gabbard

One of the first female combat veterans to join Congress, the 37-year-old representative from Hawaii announced a run on January 11th. Her policies reflect those of many freshman representatives but still follow behind the more socialist values of Senator Bernie Sanders.
