On January 24th, 2018, Larry Nassar, the ex-national team doctor for the USA gymnastics team, was convicted for molesting more than 150 women. A judge sentenced Nassar for up to 175 years in prison stating, “I just signed your death warrant,” as she delivered the sentence.

Many of the victims were minors and some were decorated Olympians, Gabby Douglas and Aly Raisman. It recently came out that the USA Gymnastics Board of Directors and Michigan State University were aware of the misconduct but no action was taken against him. Now, every member of USA Gymnastics board has resigned in wake of his sentencing. Several women are suing the organization for its negligence in reporting Nassar’s crimes.
