March 13, 2019
On March 11,2019 MMA fighter Connor McGregor was arrested for stealing a cellphone from a fellow Miami Beach-goer trying to take his photograph.
According to Miami Beach police report, McGregor was leaving the Fontainebleu Miami Beach just after 5 A.M. when a man attempted to take the picture. McGregor then allegedly slapped the phone out of the man’s hand, stomped on it, then picked it up and left. The incident was captured by a nearby surveillance camera and McGregor was found at his Miami Beach home on North Venetian Drive. He was held in Turner Guilford Knight Correctional Center until 10 p.m. when his $12,500 bond was paid off.
While this is the first incident in Florida, this is not the first time McGregor has been apprehended by law enforcement. Nearly a year ago McGregor was arrested in New York City for attacking a charter bus carrying several UFC fighters by throwing a dolly through one of the windows. He was charged with two felonies, though only pleaded to a disordly conduct charge and was sentenced to three days of anger management classes, with five days of community service.
McGregor is in South Beach on vacation, and a few nights ago shared instagram photos of his night at the Versace Mansion, celebrating his monther’s 60th birthday.
