An estimated $350,000 worth of jewelry has been declared stolen from Trump Tower in New York between June 21st and September 10th.

Two cases of theft have been reported, and both occurred while the victims were away. One victim said they had been away from the skyscraper between June 21st and September 9th, 2019 and upon returning, found that she was missing $236,000 worth of jewelry. The second victim stated they had been away from September 4th through September 10th and reported missing an estimated $117,000 worth of jewelry. The items stolen include a Harry Winston diamond bracelet, a Graff diamond bracelet and a diamond-and-emerald necklace.

Despite the recent reported thefts, President Trump spent Sunday and Monday evening in the tower. It is unknown if the Secret Service will be involved in the case, as the spokesperson referred CNN to the New York Police Department upon questioning.

Former Secret Service agent and CNN contributor Jonathan Wackrow stated that there was an “embarrassment factor” for the Service concerning the incident. The two break-ins raise concerns about the security of the building, as Trump Tower is a Secret Service protected building.

There have been no arrests and the police reports indicate that there were no signs of forced entry. It is unknown if the incidents are connected.
